where it's going.
Free resume tools. No account, no ads, nothing to sell.
Write your own resume with our step-by-step builder, or use AI-generated suggestions to tailor your resume to a job posting. You choose the help you want and stay in charge of every word.
Why is this free?
I've spent 17 years helping people find work that fits them. Too many capable people get passed over because their resume doesn't show what they can do. AnyWayResumes is my way of helping with that. There's no catch: no ads, no account, no upgrades, nothing for sale.
What happens to your information. The resume builder works entirely in your browser. When you use the AI tool, your resume, any job posting, and any enabled writing sample you include pass through our server to our AI provider, Anthropic, to create your draft, and the draft comes straight back to you. Our server doesn't save them, and we never sell or share your information for advertising. We count visits anonymously, without cookies, so we can tell whether the site is helping.
Write your own resume.
Choose from eight formats and write your experience in your own words. Use the prompts and optional phrase library as much or as little as you like, then print or export to Word.
No AI service is needed. Your resume stays in this browser. When you are ready, you can copy your draft into the AI tool below for general improvements or suggestions tailored to a job posting.
A cover letter in your own voice.
Start with a few rough sentences about why you want the job and what you bring. Keep your own draft, or choose AI help to shape it while keeping your natural wording and tone. You review and edit the result.

Review, and make it yours
Nothing goes out the door until you've read it and it sounds like you — because it has to be true, and it has to be you.
Improve or target your resume with AI.
To use the AI tool, paste in your resume or import it from a Word file, a PDF or a text file. If you don’t have a specific job in mind, choose “Improve my resume — no job description needed.” If you do, choose “Target a specific job” and paste in the posting. Then pick what you want back: a full rewrite, or bullet suggestions. The bullets are a good choice if you like your resume and just want stronger lines.
The tool gives you a draft, not a guarantee. You are responsible for checking that everything in your final resume is accurate.

No magic wand here.
We can't grab a magic wand and say "here's your job!" This tool doesn't hand you a job — it hands you a stronger draft. It doesn't verify your work history, doesn't guarantee an interview or a job, and isn't career counseling, legal advice, or a staffing service. You still have to make it true, make it yours, and go get the interview.
